Why Visit Lanzarote? Book Your Next Break In The Canaries

If you happen to live in the UK at the moment then you will probably be wondering where all the snow has come from, but if you fancy a bit of sun, sea and sand then why wait for the summer to come around. The island of Lanzarote welcomes tourists during all four seasons so why not indulge yourself?

Holidays in Lanzarote tend to appeal to a broad range of holiday makers as not only offers excellent value for money but also wonderful weather and an abundance of beautiful beaches too.

In the current economic climate tourists are really looking for value for money and now that the pounds has recovered some ground against the euro Lanzarote compares very favourably with most other holiday destinations around the world.

Air travel here is very affordable and you should be able to source a shed load of cheap Lanzarote flights from various airports around the country. Accommodation is also reasonably priced as well for example there are thousands of Lanzarote villas and apartments available for rent across the island so choosing one should not be a problem. Last but not least Lanzarote and the Canary Islands are a duty free zone, so shopping and souvenirs are much cheaper to buy here too.

Sick of having your holidays at home ruined by the weather? There´s little chance of that happening on Lanzarote as the island is situated in close proximity to the West African coast. Temperatures throughout the seasons range from a low of the mid 20’s celsius and 30’s mid summer so it’s possible to enjoy sunbathing on the beach here even on Christmas Day.

There´s an abundance of beautiful beaches on Lanzarote – close to 100 in fact, and they are nearly all made up of golden sands unlike the black and beaches commonplace elsewhere in the Canaries on islands such as Tenerife. Tourists will find great beaches in all of the main resort but for the best sands spots you have to travel further afield. The best of the island won’t come to you though and you’ll most likely need to arrange Lanzarote car hire to get to the best ones and to explore the most dramatic spots yourself – such as Famara on the North West coast.

If sunbathing isn’t really your thing then you´ll still find that Lanzarote has loads to offer as the island offers a large amount of natural and cultural attractions. For example Lanzarote was rocked by massive volcanic eruptions that created some of the most pristine volcanic scenery in the world in the 1730´s, an area which is today a designated National Park. And if that doesn’t rock you then make sure to explore the many creations of César Manrique, the well known local artists who worked with this surreal terrain to create some unique visitor attractions such as the Cactus Garden and the Jameos del Agua.

Book your next holiday and you won’t be disappointed.
