Don’t Stop Believing in Dude Ranches
It seems as though people are always running after something in particular. People always want the newest and fastest things in the world, and they won‘t be satisfied until they have it all. There isn’t one person who caused this phenomenal obsession with nuance. We know we have the power to change the looks of tomorrow by simply experimenting with knowledge today. In this day and age, the more exotic the location you travel to, and the more recently your cell phone came out into the market, and the more technological your job is, the more fascinating you are. The new and shiny is just the big obsession of today. It seems that people have forgotten the origin of excitement in American culture. What about the Wild West and catching crooks by horseback and discovering new land? It doesn’t seem like people are interested in this sort of fun anymore, and places like Dude ranches that keep that fun alive are becoming less talked about.
The reasons behind the slowly dying interest in the ranches are rather contrived when you think about it. People simply don’t have time to take a weekend away from town and spend it on a ranch with eggs and bacon in the morning and stars and campfires at night. And yet it seems like people are more convinced they can’t spare any time away from the office, and if they can, they would rather be spending it on a beach or in a hotel, not on dude ranches.
And yet undefined have so many activities and land to roam, it’s hard to think a beach is more appealing to the wide open spaces. There is always more to do on a ranch than on a beach, where you can only tan or sip pina coladas, as opposed to wrangling a bull or learning to ride horseback. And physically, a ranch is much more beneficial to your health. Physical activity, whether taking walks down dirt paths or horseback riding, makes the body feel more fit and healthy. Also, a trip to one of the ranches could end up being a lot cheaper than that grand trip to the beach. Anyone looking for a path less walked and a little intuition will find themselves at the ranch.
But still people do not always like the idea of getting their hands dirty. But think about it this way, when was the last time you preferred having a conference call instead of feeding a horse a carrot?
